The Petoskey District Library (PDL) is excited to announce the opening of a new private meeting booth, made possible through generous grant funding. This innovative addition will provide library patrons with a dedicated space for focused work, private conversations, and small meetings.
The booth offers a comfortable and sound-insulated environment, eliminating the need for whispered conversations and ensuring privacy. This space is ideal for one-on-one discussions, collaborative projects, and virtual meetings.
"We are thrilled to offer this new meeting space for our community," said Mary Beauchamp, adult services librarian. "The booth seats up to two people and will be a valuable resource for students, entrepreneurs, and anyone needing a quiet and private space to work or meet. We are grateful for the grant funding from the Petoskey-Harbor Springs Community Foundation and the Friends of the Petoskey Public Library that made this possible."
PDL recognizes the growing need for flexible and adaptable spaces within the community. This new addition reflects the library's commitment to providing resources that support learning, collaboration, and personal growth.
The booth is now available for use during regular library hours. Patrons can reserve the space from the library’s website or by calling the library during business hours.
To reserve the booth online, go to the “Meeting Rooms” webpage under the “Services” menu tab on the library’s website at petoskeylibrary.org, or call 231-758-3100. The library’s hours are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
