The Petoskey District Library is a Class IV District Library, authorized by the Library of Michigan. The Library district includes the City of Petoskey. The Library also contracts services with the four surrounding townships of Bear Creek, Little Traverse, Resort and Springvale.
As of December 26, 2022, the collection includes 67,149 physical items and 27,942 digital items. The library circulated 144,750 items to 7,136 patrons over the last year.
