Bins of Books Procedure
By participating in this program, you also agree that you will:
- Check the contents of the Bin against the Bin List before use. Itís a good idea to take general note as to how the Bin is packed when you do this; it may make it easier when you pack it up to bring it back.
- Call the library (758-3100) immediately if the contents do not match and report any missing items. If this is not done, then you will be responsible for any missing items. We also recommend that items you will not be using with your group be set-aside in a safe place until youíre ready to return the Bin.
- When you return the Bin, you should, once again, check its contents against the Bin List. Mark the list with a WATERCOLOR MARKER OR A DRI MARKER, LEAVE THE LIST MARKED, in the folder and on top of the other items in the Bin. The Bin cannot be checked in until someone does this. You may NOT check out another Bin until this task is completed. Staff members may not have the time to check the contents when you bring the bin back.
- If you have done the above, you may check out another Bin immediately. A staff member will double check the Bin contents and call you if there are any discrepancies. You will not be charged fines of any kind, should items be missing, but we ask that you take care of the matter as quickly as possible, since this affects the use of the bin by other patrons.
